Worldwide, October is the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In Greece, it is estimated that cancer effects more than 7.700 women annually, meanwhile more than 1.6 billion women all over the world, experience breast cancer at some point in their lives. 

On the occasion of this great global awareness campaign, KLEEMANN welcomed to its facilities in Kilkis the Breast Surgeon, Mr. George Sympilidis and the non-profit association of women with cancer @almazoisthessalonikis for an informative session. 

Mr George Sympilidis addressed KLEEMANN’s employees about the importance of screening in regards to the treatment of the disease in an excellent speech. 

The President of “Alma Zois”, Mrs Koula Derekenari spoked about her experience with breast cancer, further emphasizing the importance of prevention. 

Mrs. Despoina Partsia, Head of Scientific Programs of the Association, Gestalt Psychotherapist-Social Worker Msc, through a constructive dialogue developed with KLEEMANN’s people, contributed significantly not only to the recognition of the fears associated with preventive examinations but also to their discharge. 

In addition, as part of the breast cancer awareness campaign of the “Alma Zois” association, every October, for the last 10 years, the action “SAIL FOR PINK”, has been carried out, which it has now become an institution for the city of Thessaloniki. 

KLEEMANN’s team of volunteers participated in the symbolic walk, receiving an honorable mention as the largest corporate team that took part in the action.
