Profits before taxes of the group reached in the first quarter of 2005 2,202 mil. euros compared to 2,016 mil. euros in the equivalent period of 2004 (9% increase). Profits before taxes of the parent company increased 38% and amounted to 2,051 mil. euros this year, while in the period January-March of 2004 it reached 1,487 mil. euros.

Furthermore, turnover of the group amounted to 17,964 mil. euros against 17,733 mil. euros in the first quarter of 2004, reflecting an increase of 1,3%.

At parent company level, a marginal turnover decrease was reported, with sales of the first quarter of 2005 reaching 14,934 mil. euros from 15,145 mil. euros in the equivalent period of 2004 (decrease by 1,4%).

The positive financial performance of the company until now in the current fiscal year, confirms the estimations of the management of Kleemann for 2005 as a whole, which reported increased consolidated sales of 80,82 mil. euros (73,25 mil. euros in 2004) and net profits before taxes of 10,14 mil. euros (9,59 mil. euros in 2004).
