Financial Controller

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including Financial Controlling in a multinational environment
  • Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
  • Proven experience with ERP systems and advanced MS Office (Excel)
  • Excellent command of the English language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or project-based environments
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Exposure to multi-entity / international reporting structures
  • Experience with project accounting and revenue recognition (IFRS 15)
  • Familiarity with shared services environments

Responsibilities:

As a Financial Controller, you will:

  • Lead financial reporting, statutory compliance, and closing processes across multiple entities
  • Ensure adherence to IFRS and internal control frameworks
  • Act as a business partner to senior management, driving profitability and performance
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at a strategic level
  • Strengthen the control environment and drive continuous process improvement
  • Support international operations with complex accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Deliver in-depth variance analysis, business insights, and performance reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely group reporting
  • Closing & Compliance
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes in line with IFRS
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage statutory audits
  • Technical Accounting & Controls
  • Apply advanced knowledge of IFRS (incl. IFRS 15 & IFRS 16)
  • Own balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and general ledger oversight
  • Design and implement robust internal controls and financial policies
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts
  • Monitor cost control, profitability, and working capital
  • Support cash flow planning and treasury activities
  • Business Partnering
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international subsidiaries
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Act as a key liaison between Finance, Operations, and Leadership teams
  • Team Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Mentor and support junior finance team members
  • Drive automation, efficiency, and best practices within finance processes
  • Contribute to building a best-in-class shared services function
